Today I am feeling deeply grateful for another day. Maybe we all can celebrate in quiet grace with regard to this blessing? Maybe we can also use it to heal how we treat our elders, our vulnerable society who have come so far and seen and carried so much.
Maybe we can conscientiously and with full intention HEAL our perspectives about youth, aging, and how we convey respect for this one remarkable life we have... until we don’t.
Maybe, just maybe, we can all begin to make change to patch up the holes and damages in our society towards our aged population, where we see beauty and how we value it.
Let’s shake off ageism and youth obsession and our shameful forgetfulness and disrespect of those adding more and more blessed days to their story.
Let’s give attention.
Let’s honor and hold dear those of long years.
