His productions as director include Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, Coward’s After the Ball; Shaw’s Major Barbara; The Devil’s Disciple and Candida - all for the Irish Rep. And for the John Drew he has directed Orson Welles’ Moby Dick, Rehearsed starring Peter Boyle; Peter Shaffer’s Equus and Gift of the Gorgon both starring Alec Baldwin. In 1991 he was elected to the Theatre Hall of Fame.
