Project hero
An in-school film & theater program for self-expression, self-awareness, and conflict resolution
Project Hero is an empathy-building, three day school residency to joyfully address conflict resolution, self-awareness, and kindness. In partnership with The Hamptons International Film Festival, Project Hero uses an age-appropriate film as a launching point for the project theme.
For this program, we bring trained teaching artists to your school to work with carefully curated small groups of students (Target grades: 6th, 7th and/or 8th). Theater exercises, conversation, and self-exploration journaling are utilized to inspire youth towards self expression and curiosity in understanding themselves and others while incorporating impactful tools for conflict resolution.
Through the prism of understanding ourselves, we creatively encourage the expression of kindness, conflict resolution tools, and brave conversation.
